Stop Being a Guniea Hen

For those of you who have never seen a guinea hen let me explain what I mean. A guinea hen is a rounded bird that comes in Lavender, Pearl Gray or Royal purple. When they walk their whole body looks as if it is curled tight like a bundle of nerves. Richard and I have traveled all over the country and have seen many people who resemble the guinea hen. The reason being is because they worry too much. It seems to me that the human race feels that if they don't worry the will lose control of a situation.

If you took time to go to a park you would notice that the ducks aren't rubbing their web feet together worried about whether or not they are going to find their next meal. Instead they know that there is always enough. They know without a doubt that they will receive what they need at the right time and right moment.

Lets look at a mother ducks nest. She will lay an egg or two every day or until she has a full clutch. (Usually 8-15 eggs) She will only sit on them after all the eggs are laid. Note: It takes eggs 28-30 days to hatch from when she starts sitting on them. The mama duck prepares the nest and works to receive her young. She puts her love and patients into building the nest and caring for each individual egg. She never tries to rush the process. Instead she religiously sits on them for twenty eight days or more all alone without TV talk shows or Court Room Drama not complaining but giving them the warmth they need to hatch.

The point is, she gives of herself and is very patient and soon her time spend is paid off with lovely ducklings. If you are patient and willing to give the time you too will receive that which you desire. The idea is to let go and let it happen.
Think about the farmer he cultivates and fertilizes his land, plants the seeds and then he waits. He doesn't dig up the seed every other day to see how it is progressing instead she waters, nurtures and lets go leaving the rest to nature.
“All the water in the world however hard it tried, could never, never sink a ship unless it got inside. All the hardships of this world might wear you pretty thin, but they won't hurt you, one least bit ... Unless you let them in. “ Anonymous
Richard and I took a survey asking people if worry helped the situation or helped improve their lives. All the people who responded to our survey said NO.

If this is the case WHY DO YOU WORRY?

Worry affects the circulation, the heart, the glands, the whole nervous system, and profoundly affects ones health. (Charles W. Mayo, MD) Worry will not help any situation it will only project negative vibrations which will in turn block the flow of any good ideas that can help resolve the solution” Unless you want to perpetuate conditions around you, you must change your thoughts about them." (Eric Butterworth, Celebrate Yourself!) Worry doesn't help you it hurts you. "Worry often gives a small thing a big shadow." Swedish Proverb

TODAY STOP WORRYING!

How: This week take five minutes each day free from worry. Next week take ten minutes each day free from worry. And so on...

Begin today to see yourself like a duck, free from worry knowing without a doubt that there is always enough. Be like a duck and live in the moment enjoying the time you have now with family, friends and co-workers.

nstead of worrying about your sick cat be grateful he isn't the dead cat you saw lying on the road.

Daily look ahead with faith in knowing all is well and that which you desire will be yours.
